Mountain Man Saddle
This unique saddle belongs to a man who has been involved in numerous Western and Mountain Man Rendezvous events for many years. He has been the subject of artists as a model for pencil drawings and paintings as well as photographs and sculptures. This man is also an accomplished artist himself.
A solid Calvary-style Saddle with a brass horn and covered with a black bear hide. The lining is in excellent condition and the brain-tanned hair-out leather saddle bags with flap covers drape over the saddle behind the seat back. The heavy, carved, one-piece wooden stirrups have a 3Ľ-inch wide tread and are rawhide-wrapped on the outside. Dual straps on each side provide the rigging with a mohair cinch with dual buckels on each end. The breast collar is leather with plain brass conchos. If you’re looking for a truly unique Western Collectible or want a saddle to complete your “Rendezvous Oufit”, this is the real deal. A One-of-a Kind Mountain Man Saddle!
